SECURITY OFFICER/SECURITY SUPERVISOR

A security officer or security supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people, property, and assets within a specific area or facility. Their primary role is to prevent and respond to security threats, emergencies, and breaches. 

Security Officer Responsibilities:

1. Patrolling: Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter potential threats and ensure everything is secure.

2. Access Control: Monitor entry and exit points, checking credentials and ensuring only authorized individuals enter the facility.

3. Security Screening: Conduct security screenings, including bag checks and metal detector scans, as necessary.

4. Emergency Response: Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, such as fires, medical emergencies, or security breaches.

5. Surveillance: Use surveillance equipment, such as CCTV cameras, to monitor the premises for suspicious activity.

   Security Supervisor Responsibilities:

   1. Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of security officers, ensuring they are properly trained and performing their duties effectively.

   2. Shift Scheduling: Create and manage work schedules for security personnel to ensure 24/7 coverage.

   3. Training: Conduct training sessions for security officers on security protocols, emergency response procedures, and company policies.

   4. Incident Management: Oversee the response to security incidents and ensure they are handled appropriately, including reporting to higher management and law enforcement if necessary.

   5. Security Assessments: Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
